This year’s festival has the biggest number of sponsors it’s ever had. Many thanks to the following local businesses for their generous support:
Peter Thompson established Garage Doors Ltd in the mid-70’s. Today, his sons run the business with Keith covering London and Graham covering Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. Together, they have over 50 years experience in the industry.
The business supplies, installs, repairs and supplies parts to garage doors, motors and gate systems. You will receive a free quotation on all its work and the helpful site team are all employed directly by Garage Doors.
Savills opened a dedicated local office in Harpenden in 2004, but has decades of experience serving Harpenden and its surrounding areas of Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
First and foremost, it is a residential specialist, buying, selling, renting and letting homes. When clients want a more extensive or tailored service, it will liaise with Savills partners within its London network. For example, it does a lot of work with its country department colleagues, who are experts in prime country property.
Savills profound understanding of Harpenden and the surrounding area is supplemented by vast property knowledge drawn from the Savills network. This gives its clients access to an unbeatable combination: a database of national buyers and sellers, property expertise across all potential needs and research into the latest trends.
Esther Hathorn, the owner and founder of Visage Dental Spa had the vision of opening her own dental practice one day whilst training at dental college. She was training as a dental hygienist and wanted to create a practice that was different and more than just a dentist. She was passionate about dental hygiene and education for all ages and wanted her practice to be hygiene led with a strong focus on prevention.
In June 2016, the vision became a reality and Esther opened Visage Dental Spa in Harpenden. Her team provides a range of services that ensure clients enjoy cleaner, brighter and whiter teeth as well as some friendly education to help maintain a healthy mouth.
The attention to detail and passion to encourage people to “love their smile” is reflected in the spa style of practice. From the moment, you walk in the door it feels different – the smell, the welcome and the décor all add up to a very personal and relaxing experience.
Bar Azita is a family run restaurant owned by Nick & Julie Pike.
While living in Spain they fell in love with tapas culture and the warm, open hospitality of Andalucia. On returning to the UK in 2007, they created Bar Azita to capture the laid back style of Mediterranean dining. It specialises in charcoal grilled food that is healthy and simple. The dishes draw on influences from across the Mediterranean, from the olive groves of Greece to the tapas bars of Spain, resulting in an exciting and distinctive blend of flavours.
The concept has been so popular that the last five years have seen the addition of a new tapas and cocktail bar to the restaurant in Harpenden. Bar Azita is a big supporter of live music. As well as sponsoring Festival on the Field, it has live jazz every Monday.
Nurse practitioner and aesthetic medicine expert, Janne Richardson, formed the Harpenden Skin Clinic in 2011. Janne, who’s hugely passionate about skin care, is a strong believer in the ‘less is more’ approach when it comes to aesthetic beauty treatments, something her clients have benefitted from over the years and the main reason they keep coming back.
As the business started to grow, Janne began forming a carefully considered team of highly skilled professionals, dedicated to providing the best possible results, while delivering the highest levels of customer care.
Each treatment begins with a comprehensive thirty-minute consultation (with pre treatment photos), followed by the chosen treatment (carried out in a relaxing environment) before attending a series of aftercare appointments.
