Festival on the Field has gained a reputation as a high-quality family festival where children and families can be entertained in a relaxing, fun and safe environment, attracting up to 3,000 mostly local, people. The Festival is held on the playing fields of Sir John Lawes School – from where it derives its name.
The festival is a volunteer-run fund-raising event, organised by the parents’ organisations of Sir John Lawes School and Manland Primary School in Harpenden. The Festival runs every other year and to date, has raised over £90,000 for both schools!
We book the very best tribute acts and over the years, festival goers have danced and sung along to tributes of Queen, Madness, Robbie Williams, Little Mix, Katy Perry, One Direction, Taylor Swift and many more….
Last time we introduced the Karaoke phenomenon Massaoke who, now much in demand, have agreed to come back and headline the show for us again this year.
We always provide a range of food and drink options to cater to all tastes. This year, we'll have Fish and Chips London Bus, Pizza, Philly Steak & Burger Bar and Harpenden's very own Zero Sushi returning with its famous chicken katsu and teriyaki curries.
To wash all that down, you can choose from a fully stocked bar and cocktail bar at pub prices, Tring Real Ale bar and soft drinks. And of course, don't forget the Ice Cream Van!
